SAVEL History
The original founders where involved with the importing and selling of Nucon airlocks valves from New Zealand. About 1992 this group started SAVEL and two products where developed, rotary airlocks and divert valves.
By 1995 SAVEL had gained USDA and industry acceptance for the rotary airlocks. The company was then sold and work began to improve the products and develop manufacturing methods for mass production. Core process convey components where developed for the product line, specifically for the sanitary industry.
Through the years SAVEL has developed a reputation in the demanding contract manufacturing industry. This industry requires quick take apart and cleaning of process equipment which continues to be a strength of all SAVEL products. SAVEL products survived and developed with the help of our customers. Through the years great equipment and even greater relationships with customers have been developed.
The recent leadership and development of SAVEL products was accomplished by Pete Hoefler, owner of HAF Equipment. In 2007 RELCO purchased 50% ownership in SAVEL Technologies, Inc. with Pete retaining 50% control. RELCO provided the company additional manufacturing and installation services and additional sales resources with it’s existing drying equipment products
In 2009 RELCO purchased the remaining 50% ownership from Pete Hoefler and incorporated the SAVEL product line with the existing evaporation and drying products that is provided to dairy, food and pharmaceutical processing plants. Today SAVEL products are sold in the Americas, and globally through the RELCO and HAF sales network and Europe, through RELCO wet & dry, The Netherlands.
