Savel airlocks combine robust construction with an aesthetic and smooth exterior.
All cast stainless steel housing and end caps are of heavy wall construction. This mass provides a very stable platform for challenging installations with heat or difficult powder. A smooth and radiused exterior resists fugitive dust build up. Cast in close mounting flanges with drilled and tapped holes results in a low overall installed height with no exposed bolt threads or bolts. Tandem outboard mounted bearings on each end assure reliable rotor positioning. A rotor micro-adjust mechanism ensures rotor and housing compatibility. Features based on years of service in plants around this country.
Standard rotor includes eight beveled tips with hardened seal journals. Options include nine blade rotors, shallow pocket rotors, sugar handling rotors and bolt on tips and scraper blades. Rotor is supported on each end by a drive shaft that includes a rotor micro-adjust mechanism that precisely locates rotor in housing.

Housing and end caps are heavy wall castings of standard CF8 (304 Stainless steel). These parts are CNC machined for precise fit.
Dual sealed bearings are outboard mounted in each end cap.
Seals are air purged with adjustable seal retainer.USDA Dairy
